character design extension paragraph:
Throughout her life, Agatha the teacup was owned by a unique and diverse spread of people. While she was still in the ownership of her original great family, she was owned by a certain man who fit the description of “unique and diverse” a little more than the others. While he had wealth and privilege that the rest of his family had, he used it in a slightly unusual way. Hw was a bit eccentric and had become the black sheep of the family. When he was twenty he decided to start a band with some of his friends. The band was and indie-folk band influenced by Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, and the Decemberists. His parents of course disapproved of this choice. He in turn completely despised the lifestyle in which he grew up, and so to get away from it all he decided to leave home and moved to the big city. There, he and his fellow band-mates would live in a refurbished old factory or some old cheap studio space and enjoyed life and music. Agatha, as we know was the proud and vain type in this period of her life. She did not except the son anymore than his parents did. To her dismay it just so happened that she was somehow mixed in with his belongings when he moved. I the excitement she was thrown into a box and was left in the dark for what seemed like weeks. The day she was taken out of the box was the day that the band members were discussing the name for their band. He was unpacking some of the boxes that he’d forgotten and he found her lying at the bottom of one. Instantly they saw her simple beauty and history and they knew that this had been what they were searching for. They would be called The Teacups. Unfortunately after a quick google search they discovered that there was already a band called The Teacups from Scotland and another called Teacups, from Australia. There was also Teacups!, Teacups Teacups, and Dirty Teacups among many others. So now they were stuck. The man thought long and hard and finally discovered a memory that he had not thought about for many years. He remembered seeing this very teacup in the house that he had lived in as a child. He remembered one time when he and his sister had a tea party with their mother’s collector’s china. They couldn’t figure out how to make tea so instead they had used lemonade. So he decided that they would be called Teacups and Lemonade. And this little teacup would be their “mascot”. One of the band members was an artist as well, and he started to come up with designs for band poster for concerts and cd covers. From that point on Agatha became an icon.

So, you just posted 3 image for the “beginning” of the series right? I really like the last image the most. If you could get the first extension posted that would be great or at least comment on what direction you will be going with it. Do this before the end of “class” today.
For the second extension i’m doing expressionistic line. i’m going to draw it out by hand and then clean it up in photoshop and add a minimal amount of color. I’ll post it as soon as possible.
Love love love the second image. I would suggest you using cool colors in the background and not warm I bet that will make a big difference. If you don’t like it change it back. Nice continuation of the story.
I cant decide if i like the cool colors better or not. I like the yellow because it goes along with the lemonade aspect, but i do like the cool colors too. Also for some reason the green isn’t showing up as well on here as it did in photoshop.
